Employment & Training

Chi Mino Ozhitoowin, in partnership with Valard Construction LP, strives to provide opportunities to all project First Nations. Chi Mino Ozhitoowin understands there are barriers when it comes to receiving employment and training and the Indigenous Engagement team is here to assist First Nations community members to meet the requirements for training and employment.

Chi Mino Ozhitoowin will review the skills of local First Nations workers, determine any additional training required prior to Project Construction start, and deliver the required training to individuals interested in working on the project. This will help to maximize employment opportunities within the local, First Nations workforce.

Some training programs that may be offered depending on workforce needs and availability are:

• Energy Readiness Intro to Energy and Skills Development

• Natural Resources Field Worker

• Security Guard

• Remote Camp Cook

• Remote Camp Support

• Mechanical Harvesting

• Pre-Trades Training
