Share the places you call home.
Share the lands, waters and places that make your First Nation home. Chi Mino Ozhitoowin’s Community Photo Contest invites members to submit original scenic photographs for the opportunity to win one of three prize packages, with over $4,500 in prizes.
Your submissions will help build CMO’s collection of community photographs for future communications, showcasing the First Nations at the heart of our work on the Waasigan Transmission Line Project.
How to Enter
Email up to three original scenic photographs to contests@cmo-fn.ca.
Include:
- Your full name and First Nation
- Your email address and/or telephone number
- The location where each photograph was taken
- A short title or description for each photograph
Submit photographs at the highest available resolution. Landscapes, lakes, rivers, shorelines, forests, wildlife, seasonal scenery and community landmarks are welcome.
All entries must be received by October 29, 2026, at 4 p.m.

The contest is open to members of CMO’s seven Participating Indigenous Communities:
- Eagle Lake First Nation
- Fort William First Nation
- Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe Nation
- Lac Seul First Nation
- Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation
- Ojibway Nation of Saugeen
- Seine River First Nation
Off-reserve members encouraged!
CMO employees, Board members, their immediate families and members of the judging panel are not eligible to win.
Contest Rules
This is a judged photography contest. Entries will be assessed on quality and composition, connection to community or place, originality and visual impact, and suitability for future CMO communications.
Participants retain ownership of their photographs. By entering, participants grant CMO permission to use submitted photographs for organizational communications and promotional purposes, as outlined in the Official Contest Rules.
